Morúa Corseted Wedding Dress
Here are some photos of the outfits I made for a particularly stunning couple last year.

I orignally wrote this up for the Corsetry community so I'm going focus on the corseted dress here, but I will post more details on the coat, etc for the groom in separate entry later.

Beth and Hal at the Altar

Her outfit is a gown, rather than a skirt and corset and has an integrated fully boned corset at the top. She wanted it to be body hugging and emphasize the waist, but not to have extreme reduction. She wanted something simple in its lines but a bit deconstructed and elegantly frayed.

The strength layer is coutil while the outer fabric is silk taffeta overlaid with a layer of soft silk tulle. The skirt is made of many shades of grey silk chiffon, tulle, and a bit of soft nylon net.

I also made the groom's outfit and the veil.

You can see a bit more detail of the overlay and boning channels here. Also note the pink mockup in the background!

The back at the final fitting. We couldn't help but love this fabric for the lining!

And finally here is the original sketch for the dress design. We decided to make the skirt bit a bit less fluffy in the end :)
